Nowadays, you cannot even go to a news site without seeing those little tags everywhere for posting the article, video, or link to you social media page. Social media sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Foursquare, and the new Google are steadily taking over people-s online presence. Even in everyday language, social networking has changed how we do things. Just the other day I had a coworker say “I-ll Facebook you’ The question is, is it a bad thing? Is there going to be a point of oversaturation of the market? It is hard to say because social media is designed for the masses. Yes it has taken over, and there are some people who can become addicted to these sites; but it is here to stay. People have been becoming more connected using technology for over 20 years.

Social networks are here to stay, but they have good points as well. Connecting with friends you may not have even heard from in 10 years, a band getting their music heard on a global scale without a record contract, families able to correspond quickly and easily. These are just a few examples of how it can be a good thing. We will see if in the future it implodes or continues to dominate.

A DVR is the current comparable of a VCR with one major factor; it makes a point not to utilize tape. A DVR records your favorite shows onto a hard drive where they are archived into digital files. DVR’s take audio and video recording to an entire brand new level by preparing you to stop, rewind and instant replay with live TV shows, an extremely valuable offer to have when viewing Pay-Per-View motion pictures or special events.

Can a DVR totally update the way you exist in life? Well, you would be astonished with the results you would get by adding a Digital Video Recorder to your already established Home Entertainment system.I was looking for more information and found it here. A Digital Video Recorder is one of those uncommon units that can have an impressive deep effect on the way we exist our lives that we’ll consider ourselves thinking about how we ever existed without one.

Take control of a live TV show: One of the specialties that made DVR’s renowned worldwide is their capacity to control a live TV show. By buffering the satellite indicator, your DVR can stop, rewind, and slo-mo a live TV telecast. Once you are done you can start right back where you left off at with the live show.

Thousands of people have the ability to work from home or just about anywhere, because of the incredible technology that has become available to people all over the world. We are able to get up to the minute news, weather and sports as well as reliable information on any imaginable subject in a mere matter of seconds. Newspapers and magazines are being published online along with websites which supply information on how to do just about everything.I found some more information here. These things are giving more stay-at-home parents the ability to work and still be accessible for their families. People are needed to write blogs, edit articles, verify information, advertise, sell and of course write.

Each of us has an area of expertise or interest that makes us a valuable resource. A woman may have recipes, cleaning tips, advice about child rearing, skin care, weight loss, pet care, interior decorating or how to raise a child with special needs, and there are millions of readers that would enjoy reading her advice. The same goes for any man who might like to share his barbecue secrets, car maintenance facts, exercise routines, fantasy football tips or maybe how to pick the right bottle of wine. Whatever you enjoy writing about, someone else will enjoy reading about. There are an unlimited number of opportunities available to those who would enjoy writing articles online.

So lately you-ve been loading up on technology – Directv package prices are down and you got a new laptopbut you still feel like you-re missing out? Here are a few of the coolest wireless products on the market and why you need them:
Wireless Headphones: At the risk of looking like a Bluetooth user you can grab a pair of wireless headphones for less than 100. They pick up signal from a mobile device or an mp3 player and they save you the hassle of threading your plug all the way through your jacket as well as untangling the cord.
Wireless Security Systems: There are so many ways to secure your home nowadays it-s no wonder someone came up with a wireless system. Lock it from outside with a car-fob like keychain and check the status from your Smartphone. Genius.
Wireless Unlock: Speaking of car-fob keychainsmany automobiles now offer the option of a mobile app. Unlock your car remotely and even start the engine with the touch of your phone. It-s amazing what technology can do isn-t it?

How Is An Ipod Different From The Iphone? Many think there aren’t that many differences, bu they would be wrong. One is a phone while the other is an MP3 player. Though they both are powerful devices capable of a wide variety of things, they have different specs that people should be aware of.

The camera may be the biggest difference between the Ipod and the Iphone. The Iphone comes equip with a 5 megapixel camera which allows you to take some pretty nice pictures, while the Ipod comes with a 0.7 megapixel camera that leaves much to be desired when it comes to picture quality.

When it comes to storage, the Ipod definitely wins the race here. At 64 gigs, the Ipod offers double the storage of the largest Iphone. This is clearly because the Ipod is designed to be a media player and hold large amounts of video and audio.

The Iphone offers vibrations and ring tones, these work for phone mode and for facetime. The Ipod doesn’t offer any ring tones or vibration for facetime.

The Ipod is also the thinner device of the two, but it does have less ram at 256k compared to the 512k offered by the Iphone.

There are many personal music players out there, dating back to Walkmans and CD players, but the Ipod, particularly the Ipod Touch is a leap forward in terms of personal entertainment. The Ipod can give you a personal juke box, radio station and even a DVR in your pocket. Along with your personal music collection, there is a whole range of free material available for listening. Podcasts, independently produced programs on every subject under the sun, as well as recordings from actual radio stations and TV programs are available for free at the Itunes store. If you go with the top-of-the-line Touch version, you have access to email on your player. There are also a huge variety of Apps (applications), many of them free, that can be loaded onto the Touch, from Twitter and Facebook, to games, recipe databases, language translators, and just about anything that you would want to run on your PC. Again, many of these apps are free, or have free versions. Yes, smart phones also provide many of these technological wonders in a pocket sized version, but the Ipod Touch, as long as you have access to a wireless network, doesn’t require a monthly data charge.

Although the platform has a number of celebrities who swear by it, including radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, it has never gained the popularity of Intel machines running Windows have The higher price tag contributes to Apple’s lagging market share. A consumer who wants the benefits of the Macintosh operating system, which include getting fewer viruses, may find that he cannot find good business software

The statement in the above paragraph was true at one point, but has not been true for a long time. Major software companies realized they had a large untapped potential market. Peachtree Accounting, Excel, and many other of the common applications work just as well on the Macintosh as they do on the PC. They should. The programs have the same features. Only the interface differs slightly between the two operating systems.

The price is similar to. If you do not want to worry about licensing fees, many similar applications are available from Source Forge. The makers of Open Office make a version for the Mac OS in addition to the Windows and Linux applications.
